Over the Thanksgiving weekend, the whole family headed out to Arizona for a small vacation. We first stayed one night at the Mago Retreat (http://sedonamagoretreat.org), a cool little meditation resort/center way out in a place I like to call the Middle of Nowhere. It was literally took one hour to cover the dirt road leading up to the retreat. At Mago, we all did a little meditation and yoga, and then took a short hike up to the nearest plateau. The next day we headed out for the center of Sedona. There, we drove around for a bit admiring the scenery, and then we stopped for a great raw meal at D’lish Vegetarian Restaurant (http://dlishsedona.com). Sadly, we forgot to take pictures of the food. From there it was on to the Grand Canyon. The Canyon was truly an amazing sight, and all of us really enjoyed it. Ro and I are planning a hiking trip through there around spring now. Another 9 hrs of driving and we were back home in LA. It was a great little trip, and I would definitely recommend a trip out there.
